International Driving Permit in Lebanon

When planning a trip to Lebanon, it is important to consider the need to obtain an international driving permit (IDP). While some foreign drivers may be allowed to use their national driver's license in Lebanon, it is highly recommended to have an IDP for added convenience and confidence when renting a car and interacting with local law enforcement.

Not having an International Driving Permit can potentially lead to fines and complications with local authorities. Therefore, to avoid any potential problems, it is recommended to obtain an international driving license from your home country before traveling to Lebanon. This usually entails providing a photograph of your national license, passport details and a nominal fee.
